How To Meditate God’s Way: How to MOGAS
When we meditate on God, we fill our minds with the Word of God and Godly thoughts. The Word of God is living and powerful. The Bible tells us in John 1:1-5 & John 1:14 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Therefore, the Word of God from the Holy Bible is the basis of Godly meditation. If you do the following, you meditate the way God wants you to.
Hear and believe the Word. (James 1:2, Proverbs 4:20, Matthew 19:9, Romans 10:17)
Read and Study the Word. (Psalm 119:15 NLT, 2 Timothy 2:15, Proverbs 4:21)
Hide it in your heart. (Psalm 119:9-11, Proverbs 4:21)
Speak and Utter the Word. (Joshua 1:8)
Envision and Ponder the Word. (Philippians 4:8-9, Hebrews 11:1-3)
Write down what is taught. (Deuteronomy 6:8-9)
Pray and Obey the Word. (Pray: 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Do: James 1:2, 1 John 3:9)
Be thankful for the Word! (1 Thessalonians 5:16 and 18)
And from it never part! (Joshua 1:8)
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
